As you will no doubt have seen, the Mango Chunks didn’t win Melodifestivalen (this year anyway).
We ended up in around 65th place and given the fact that they used a voting system that even Robert Mugabe would be ashamed to be associated with, I think we did ok. So a big THANK YOU to everyone who took the time to vote for us. Rest assured that the money you spent voting for us will be used by SVT to make the next series of Boolibompa extra special. I hear that they are going to show it in 3D…
Anyway! As a thank-you, we are playing an acoustic gig this Friday the 12th of November at Café Hängmattan,Södermannagatan 10 in Södermalm. We start at 19:00 and entry is free!

Some BIG news!!!
The Mango Chunks have got involved in a mission to re-store Sweden to one of the Europe’s leading countries.
But it’s not within sport or politics or the field of ideas that we will compete, no it’s something much more important than that, it’s… Melodifestivalen!!!
That’s right, we are competing on SVT.se to be part of Melodifestivalen 2011. It started as a joke but quickly got out of hand and now we are one of 232 competitors each hoping to get enough votes to get through to the main competition next year.
So, we need your vote! In fact, Sweden needs your vote!!! (but mostly we need your vote).

It’s been a busy while here for us at Mango HQ.
The summer has been and gone and we have a couple of new songs and some exciting news coming up!
Two weeks ago we shot our video for our first single and that is in production now and should be released to the world on October 1st.
We have also planned gigs at the beginning of October which we’ll post more info about here soon!
